With more than 25 years in the Information Technology field, twenty of those years were in Information Security. I have always had a passion for the craft and as the cybersecurity profession emerged, I continued my education through self-taught initiatives, joining organizations of those involved sharing the same passion. For nearly the past 12 years, I was able to develop cybersecurity programs from the ground up for previous employers. Throughout the course of these efforts, I was able to accomplish several notable achievements. One of those achievements included a full internal cybersecurity audit by a large outside auditing firm which resulted in a Satisfactory rating. This was most notable because at the time the newly developed Cyber program had only been in place for 3 years. All of this was not achieved without the help of many within the organization.
I am a part of several cybersecurity focused organizations, but I found that several still lacked a certain element of support. In 2015 I teamed up with some international counter parts and helped create the International Cyber Threat Task Force ICTTF https://www.siliconrepublic.com/enterpr ... task-force This organization allowed me to expanded my passion for the profession and begin taking part in speaking engagements to help promote the community even more. Today I am part of the FBI Infragard, US Chamber Cyber Committee, and several other local and national cyber security organizations.
During the course of my career, I have been featured in several publications, recognized and awarded for internal & external achievements. Most recently interviewed in PenTest Magazine and notably was honored as one of the top 100 professionals in the Information Security Field by Strathmore's Who's Who for 2014 where acceptance is limited to individuals who have demonstrated Leadership and Achievement in their Occupation, Industry or Profession.
